Modern Watercolor
As a woman, mother, and watercolorist, I find that my art is a reflection of the beauty and chaos that is life. I find inspiration in the natural world around me, and aim to capture its essence in my paintings.
Watercolor is my chosen medium because of its fluidity and ability to create both delicate and bold strokes. Each brushstroke is a moment in time, a reflection of my emotions and experiences.
I have been teaching watercolor since 2014 and have had the privilege of working with many wonderful locations such as Bellevue College, South Seattle Community College , Daniel Smith, the Woman’s University Club (Seattle), Gage Academy and Antioch University.

-Silver Black Velvet brushes in three sizes: 12 Round, 1” oval and 6 liner.
-Plastic pallet for holding paint
-Daniel Smith paints. My most recommended pigments: French Ultramarine, Cerulean, Prussian blue, Green appetite genuine, Nickle azo yellow, Burnt umber, Burnt sienna, Lunar black, Aussie red gold, Quinacridone rose and Vermillion.
-Arches 140lb cold press or rough paper. This comes in fold over tablets in 9”x11” or sheets in multiple sizes. I like the 22”x 30” sheets to fold and cut down to four 11” x 15” papers or the size 16”x20” which you can fold and cut down to four 8”x10” papers.
-Dr. P.H. Martin’s Bleed Proof White (Opaque white ink for details)
-Mr. Clean Magic eraser
-Gelly roll pens in size 06 in black and white (as shown in photo)
